Breaking FMAP News!

 

The U.S. House passed legislation extending the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) another six months and providing Pennsylvania with $600 million in FMAP funds and more than $350 million in additional federal education funds. The bill (HR 1586) now goes to the President for his signature.

 

Governor Rendell and legislative leaders are scheduled to meet Wednesday to iron out the details of plugging the remaining $250 million hole in the budget.
