Healthcare - Immediate Action Needed

SUBJECT: IMMEDIATE ACTION NEEDED!
Healthcare
As you know, SEIU has a number of principles for healthcare reform. Two of the most important principles for healthcare reform that are not addressed in the current Senate bill are affordability and no excise tax on benefits.
During the next two weeks, we will see a bill passed in the Senate and then go into Conference Committee to reconcile the House and Senate versions of the bill. During the Conference Committee, we have an opportunity to bring the Senate version of the bill closer to the House version.
PLEASE do the following:
- Sign onto the affordability letter at http://www.tfaforms.com/126987;
- Contact your member of Congress to urge them to keep the “cadillac tax” out of the reconciled bill. This excise tax would unfairly hurt us as public employees.
Do it now! Thanks.
