Unite Here Emails

UNITE HERE has sent yet another email to our members on work emails. This is an unfortunate distratction as we continue our local's incredible work on our Human Services Campaign, our various contract campaigns, and our upcoming push to elect more people who will stand with working families. I continue to try to get the commonwealth to block these folks but UNITE HERE is somehow forwarding it so that the original sender cannot be found and blocked. It may help if every member complains to management about these “unsolicited” emails. Forward it to management and ask that they block it. Look at the bottom of the email for an “Unsubscribe” button and click on it. That should remove you from future blasts. We may have a legal option if those that have clicked the “Unsubscribe” button continue to get the emails. Please share this information with your members. Given what this group is doing, we can certainly appreciate why Worker’s United left this organization. They have now resorted to lies and character assassinations about former members.

SEIU Members across the county - and especially here in Pennsylvania - have earned the respect of working people because they know that we are working to improve the lives of all Americans through our services and our policy initiatives. Our sucssess for working families has put us in the national spotlight and made us an attractive target for the far right and others.

BUT, we won't allow ourselves to be distracted at a time when workers need a voice more than ever. We ask that you join us in remaining focused on what matters most to our members and to all working families.
