The funding for the state Unemployment Compensation system, provided by Act 34 of 2013, is set to expire at the end of this year. If funding is not restored, we face the possible closure of UC centers and SEIU 668 member layoffs!
With less than a dozen days left in this legislative session, we must contact our legislators to ensure that the Act is reauthorized. Please first call your Representative and ask that they re-authorize Act 34 of 2013 to provide much needed funding for the Department of Labor and Industry. Then call your Senator’s office, and ask that they support SB1335 today! We also ask that you email your representatives!

Take further action by scheduling a visit with your legislator in their district office to ask for the re-authorization of Act 34 of 2013 (if they are a Representative), or support of SB1335 (if they are a Senator).
