CHAPTER 8
MINUTES OF OCTOBER 13, 2009 MEETING
I. CALL TO ORDER: Steve Jarrell, Chapter Chair called the meeting to order.
INTRODUCTIONS: Everyone present introduced themselves.
II. ATTENDANCE: Sign in sheet (see attached).
III. CORRECTION and/or APPROVAL OF THE SEPTEMBER MINUTES AS MAILED.
MOTION: To approve the June minutes.
MOTION: Barbara Fellows SECOND: Lynette Taylor

IV. CHAPTER CHAIR REPORT: -- Steve Jarrell, Chapter Chair.
● Collecting e-mail addresses so we can notify everyone.
● LiHEAP Assistant Program – Have to look at the big picture. Some people are getting help, some are not. Clients are not served, many dropped calls. Will talk about it at the November meeting.
● In the Call Center you have to log off your phone in order to go to the bathroom, which will go against you. Columbia County work was sent to other counties, but Columbia still has to cut the checks. Statewide Call Center did not work, the area Call Center also is not working, but they do not get complaints – they come from the committee. All the client complaints have to be forwarded to Joanne.
● Labor & Industry – Linda Law is the steward, she is on the committee. What options do members have if you have to work on Sundays? Tom Herman and Laura Gilbert both work with that, talk to Laura and the committee.
V. TREASURER’S REPORT: -- by Richard Barron (see attached).
MOTION: To approve the treasurer’s report for September as presented at the meeting. We get $1/month/member. We get about $1,000/month.
