SEIU Local 668 is lucky to have two CMEC coordinators out on leave until December 2019 to connect one-on-one with our conservative members, in an effort to build a formal vehicle to ensure their voices help drive the work of our union. Take a few minutes to learn about Jeff and Frank, and be sure to connect with them if you’d like to invite them to your next shop or chapter meeting!
Frank Gerlach is a conservative member from Allentown, PA, and he resides in Catasauqua with his family. Frank has been a member of SEIU 668 since 2006 and is a Licensed Social Worker. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Crime and Justice from Albright College and a Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College.
Frank worked at KidsPeace, a Residential Treatment Facility for youth in crisis, and he coached high school football. As a caseworker for the County of Lehigh, Frank worked in the Office of Children and Youth Services and is currently working in the Crisis Intervention Office.
Since 2010, Frank has served as an Associate Shop Steward, Chief Shop Steward, Contract Negotiation Team Member, and Chapter 13 Vice Chapter Chair of Local Shops. Frank is currently on a leave of absence from Lehigh County to serve as a coordinator for the Conservative Member Engagement Committee.
Jeff Seabury, his wife Melissa and four children reside in Fayette County, where Jeff is in his 27th year as an SEIU Local 668 member while working as a VRC for the Commonwealth.
For most of that time, Jeff has served as a Statewide Elected Representative for the OVR Statewide Work Committee and has been the Committee Chair for over a decade. He has also been a member of the Budget and Finance Committee and is on the E-Board in Chapter 4. In addition to those seats, Jeff is a delegate on the Allegheny-Fayette Central Labor Council and has been a member of the 668 State Contract Negotiations Team for many years.
A long-time unionist and activist, whose motto is “It’s about Labor; not labels”, Jeff has represented SEIU in Pennsylvania on the Conservative Member Engagement Committee with SEIU International since its inception nearly five years ago.
Like Frank, Jeff is currently on leave from the Commonwealth to meet and engage with conservative members across our Local. Together, their goal is to listen to members and try to get them engaged while having their voices heard and respected.
