SEIU Local 668 sends its heartfelt condolences to the family of union brother, Minh D. Nguyen. An Iraq vet, father, husband, union brother, Nguyen was an Allegheny County CAO worker who passed on Sunday. From his obituary:
“Nguyen, Minh D., age 52, peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, October 28, 2018 of West Mifflin. Beloved husband of 21 years to Cynthia (Lemanski) Nguyen; loving father of Amanda and Alexis; son of the late James Barker and Thu Nguyen; brother of Toan (Aimee) Nguyen, Tracie Nguyen, Chung Nguyen and the late Hung “Long” Nguyen; uncle of Christopher and Ashton Nguyen, Ashley Lippold, Nicholas, Jake and Katelyn Lemanski and Austin Martin, Allan Haw and the late Alie Haw; son-in-law of Kathleen and the late Anthony Lemanski; brother-in-law of Sandy (the late Rick) Stuhlfire, Anthony (Debbie) Lemanski III and John (Sue) Lemanski; dear friend and companion of Snickers, Skittles, Diddles and Clovis. Served in the U.S. Army National Guard serving three tours in Iraq. He retired from the Army in 2012. Minh also retired from the Department of Public Welfare in January 2018. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends will be received at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227 on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 and Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where a blessing service will be held in the John F. Slater Funeral Home Chapel on Friday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.”
