Children and Youth Minutes 12-5-08

CHILDREN AND YOUTH COMMITTEE

MEETING OF DECEMBER 5, 2008

Meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m. by Chair Michael Butler.

Introduction of committee members was made.

Committee members congratulate Jade DiClemente (C & Y Bucks) as the new Children and Youth Committee Chair and Paul Gambill ( C & Y Erie) as the alternate.

Talked about the Protect Our Children Committee. Ms. DiClemente will talk with leaders from the Protect Our Children Committee and see about a representative from the Children and Youth Committee to be at the meeting. Also, Mr. Gambill volunteered to be an alternate to the Protect Our Children Committee.

Committee thanked Chair Michael Butler (C & Y Erie) for being Chair.

Business Agent Rick Adams talked about being active with the Protect Our Children Committee. Also, he will be working on getting more people on the Children and Youth Committee.

Committee looked at the year to date committee budget.

Committee talked about what the committee would like to do in the next year.

-meet with appropriate officials, re: Children & Youth

-meet with legislators

-get more committee members

The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
