SEIU Local 668 is excited to welcome workers from The ReDCo Group, Inc. to our union!

With more than 60 workers in their ranks, these soon-to-be union members offer behavioral and mental health services to clients at the Pathways Pennsylvania, Pottsville location.

With the growing need for community-based services, specialty caseworkers like these therapists and behavioral techs with ReDCO are finding that their employers often skip steps and try to cut corners with patient care. SEIU Local 668 is proud to support these workers at Pathways, and we’re excited to help them start bargaining their first contract this month.

“This is a huge win for mental health workers here in Pennsylvania,” SEIU 668 President Steve Catanese said this week. “Clinical caseworkers at Pathways deserve to have a seat at the table and a say when it comes to the level of patient care they provide. Services like the ones offered at Pathways Pottsville are becoming more common, and we need to make sure both clients and workers are protected and supported from all sides.”

Caseworkers at Pathways Pottsville will begin bargaining their first contract this month, and the union expects negotiations to lead to their first contract in the coming weeks.
