SEIU Local 668 is excited to announce the appointment of Randall Bacon as our Local’s New Organizing Director, effective January 18, 2018. He will oversee our Local’s Organizing staff, plan and implement new member Organizing campaigns, and drive our Local’s internal organizing staff.
“Randall Bacon is a tremendous Organizer, whose passion for worker rights and strategic thinking will help our Local organize new members, engage existing members, and sign up agency fee payers,” said Steve Catanese, President of SEIU Local 668. “We are truly excited to have him on board guiding our Local’s Organizing Department.”
An Organizer with our Local since November 2015, Randall is also a former Organizer with AFSCME, and a former employee of the Allegheny County Juvenile Probation department, where he served as Chief Steward and a member of the bargaining team. Randall has completed training programs with the AFL-CIO, AFSCME, and the Penn State Universities’ Labor-Employment Relations program. He has also worked as the Director of a non-profit group home for kids with socio-emotional disorders and adjudicated youth.
“Our Organizing Department is key to the growth of our Local,” said JoAnne Sessa, Secretary-Treasurer of SEIU Local 668. “With Randall’s appointment, we are confident that our Local will be in a strong position to secure internal and external organizing victories in Pennsylvania.”
