SEIU State Council has announced the endorsement of Bridget Malloy Kosierowski. Bridget is a registered nurse, working mother, and civic leader. Who believes the people of district 114 deserve fair representation in Harrisburg. As a life long resident of North East Pennsylvania, Bridget sees the importance of strengthening her community. She will do this by improving access to health care, increasing the minimum wage, provide property tax relief for residences and homesteads, ensuring corporations pay their fair share in property taxes, and reforming the government.
Bridget’s fight for improving health care comes from her professional work as a nurse and personal experience as a mom. Bridget has a son who was diagnosed with leukemia when he was younger. During that time, her family struggled with skyrocketing health insurance premiums. Bridget understands the need for every family to obtain affordable health care.
As an elected representative, she will support women and children. She wants women to have fair representation in government, and that cannot happen without more women elected to office. She believes there should be no statute of limitations for crimes of sexual abuse and assault. She supports the Pennslyvania House passing Senate Bill 261 last year.
