July 20th–SEIU Members Striking in Support of Black Lives

On Monday, July 20th, workers across the country will be participating in a national day of actions to demand economic and racial justice in the workplace. Workers will be standing in solidarity and striking in support of black lives to help illustrate all the ways our fights for economic and social justice are connected.

Join SEIU Local 668 members on July 20th in a moment of silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds in memory of George Floyd. Use your break or lunch time to do this, as there are no-strike clauses in most 668 contracts.

If you’re participating in one of the many actions taking place around the Commonwealth on July 20th, take a photo or video and post it to social media with the tag #strikeforblacklives. Taking this action on July 20th is a chance for all of us to stand in solidarity and come together to show the power working people have when they unite around economic and social causes.
