2026 Statewide Elections
Per the SEIU 668 constitution, every three years elections will take place for our union's elected officials. This includes the two statewide officers, fiscal trustees, chapter chairs, and work committee representatives. Please review below for complete information.

Petition Process
Members who decide to run for an elected position must have 25 dues-paying members sign their candidate petition after August 14, 2026. All petitions must be submitted and verified before September 20, 2026. Once signatures are verified, confirmation of candidacy will be sent to that member and they are considered an active candidate.
Members can either have a paper petition and email/mail it to the SEIU 668 Harrisburg office or they can request an online petition to collect signatures by emailing legcomm@seiu668.org.
Please Note--For the 2026 election cycle, the SEIU 668 Elections Committee has directed that no active candidates may post on any union-run social media pages. If you have any questions regarding this directive, please reach out to the Elections Committee via email: 2026electionscommittee@seiu668.org
Voting Process
Current dues-paying members will receive ballots mailed to their home address on-file starting October 5, 2026. One ballot will be for statewide positions (President, Secretary-Treasurer, Fiscal Trustees) as well as Chapter Chair. A separate ballot will be sent for members to vote for their work committee representatives.
Please review your ballots, mark your vote, and place the ballot into the coordinating Secret Envelope. Place the sealed Secret Envelope into the coordinating Return Address Envelope (which will be labeled separately depending which ballot you are sending back) and place that envelope into the mail.
All ballots must be collected by the Harrisburg U.S. Post Office by October 25, 2026.
Ballots will be opened and counted in the SEIU 668 Harrisburg office on Monday, October 26, 2026.
Vote results will be shared electronically with candidates and members once the vote count has been conducted and verified by the third-party administrator.

Candidate Nights
There will be a number of virtual and in-person Candidate Nights for members and candidates to attend in September and October. These events will be moderated by SEIU 668 staff and are open to any candidate or member to attend. Please review the schedule below to RSVP to an in-person or virtual event. We will update locations and times as that information is finalized.
